Algiz Rune Necklace by Honor the Roots

The Algiz Rune Necklace displays the Algiz rune in all its splendor. The rune is also known by the name Elhaz. It is derived from the Elder Futhark Rune set. Algiz literally translates into “elk” from its proto-germanic. It was known to our ancestors at the time as a divine animal with special inherent properties. To see one was considered a tremendous blessing.

In Old Norse, the upside down algiz in the younger futhark translates to yew, a type of conifer that resides on the Northern European continent. This rune is very old. It’s oldest inscription that we have found was discovered on a spear head dated to 180 AD.

The Rune has become known as the “life rune.” When inverted it becomes the “death rune.” It has become an important symbol by bands such as Death in June. The Rune has a guiding characteristic that leads the user to divine qualities. It represents the justice given by a divine universe. It conceals, but also opens up a path that is upward and transcendent.

The three tops of the Algiz Rune represent the 3 highest worlds on Yggdrasil. It the worlds of Asgard, Vanaheim, and Alfheim connected by a single trunk. The trunk could be Midgard itself, whose energies sprout the higher worlds.

The Algiz rune can also represent the human figure. With arms open towards the air and the feet together, the Algiz rune position opens up energy in the human body. It establishes a firm connection that enables communication between the higher worlds and Midgard.

This Algiz Rune Necklace represents all of these things and more. Reinforce your spiritual and bodily protection with the Algiz Rune. Quality is guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with this necklace we will give you a refund. No questions asked.

LOVE IT. It’s everything I expected it to be — everything that was implied in the image. It’s quite nice to just sit and look at the little swirling patterns engraved in the pendant. I’ll be buying more Viking goods soon.

This necklace is just kickass. Its a lot heavier than it looks. Really this necklace is a piece of art.
